Recently teachers and AIW coaches have been asking for examples in how students can create projects that reach beyond the classroom; in — other words, score high.
Connecting learning beyond school is always a good idea because students have a clearer idea of how experts in the field utilize the disciplinary concepts and processes. But there is also the thrill of sharing your ideas or something you've created with people “in the real world.”
Here are two examples of artists creating AND sharing their art:

I would love to see an art teacher use these and other examples with students so they can begin to post their art. After all, most teenagers live on Youtube or Facebook and many post videos. Let’s not let our own discomfort get in the way of new frontiers for sharing.
